Features, Specifications & Standards

The main structure is composed of finger-jointed, paint protected solid pine wood for superior strength and overlaid with 24G galvanized steel skins for excellent rust and dent protection, in accordance with the CAN/CGSB-82.5-M88 standard provided by the Standards Council of Canada. Our doors are internally insulated eco-friendly, high R-value, HCFC free polyurethane foam to decrease the energy footprint as they help prevent thermal heat loss thus reducing energy costs for our customers. All ends are protected by a high quality steel edge.

We can recommend our entry doors with confidence as we are recognized for meeting some of the rigorous standards Ozone HCFC Free Protection standard, the Environmentally Friendly standards and the Energy Star energy efficiency standards of Canada.

Glass Options

Clear Glass: Our tempered clear glass is a classic choice for those concerned with light and visibility. Sealed for additional insulation and protection, they provide superior security and clarity. They can also be installed as a vertical sliding window to allow for ventilation without opening the door.
Wrought Iron: Solid, Canadian-manufactured wrong iron is often combined with safety-tempered glass and adds elegance and outstanding protection to your door while adding to the curb appeal of your home with the option of a full or half door insert.
Stained Glass: Popular choices amongst those who are concerned with privacy are stained glass windows which add a look of the specification along with luminosity. They also come in a wide variety of designs, privacy options and colors

Frame Options

Solo Entrance Doors: These doors are most often used where there is limited space and are encased with a water-resistant and airtight U-PVC vinyl layer.
Sidelight Door Combinations: For a brighter hallway, a sidelight panel on either the right or left of the solo entrance door is a popular choice when glass inserts are used. This type of frame makes the porch look bigger and also added protection and calls for a bolder design choice. Sidelight panels can be placed on both sides of the door with tempered glass inserts for an even grander effect as well as more natural light without compromising safety and security.
Double Door & Sidelight Combinations: With two sidelights on each side, these are recommended for double doors, and larger entrances. With WindowTech you can be assured that a superior and stylish entrance does not have to interfere with energy costs as all of our doors are insulated with multilayer weather stripped to ensure superior protection.

Colour & Lock Options

Our steel doors are sealed with a factory-applied protective white finish which adds insulation. However, they can be painted in any color using oil-based paints upon request.

We also have a great selection of locks in our designed catalog, including multi point locks. However, our clients can provide their own lock, which we will happily install.
